Common Game

There's barely been any habitat that's escaped the attention of game developers. And one such environment to be gamified is underwater in the shape of Fishdom.

Unfortunately, it's nothing particularly new or innovative. It's a match-three game played underwater. But don't dismiss it out of hand; Fishdom has some exciting features you will like. So mask up and get ready to dive into the watery Fishdom world.

More

As well as the knockout graphics and beautifully crafted underwater worlds, Fishdom is flexible. You can play alone, with friends, and you don't even need WiFi or a data connection to play.

To get started, download, install and dive into the watery world of Fishdom. Play the match-three puzzles, and then take some time out to decorate your aquariums and create lovely homes for your talking fish.

You are in charge, so remember to feed your fish, play with them, and watch how they interact with each other.

Each of your finned friends has a distinctive personality and will help you explore their underwater world.

The big bonus point for this game is that it's more than the straightforward match-three game you may have expected. There is so much more to Fishdom than initially meets the eye.

You will wish to share the experience with others in time, and you can do so via Facebook.

How to use

Fishdom is downloadable from Google Play, Apple's App Store, and the Amazon Appstore.

The Android game requires 143 MB of storage space and Android 4.2 as a minimum. Meanwhile, iOS users will need to set aside 373.1 MB of space and run iOS 9.0 or later.

The game ratings on both platforms are pretty creditable; a 4.3 out of five on Google Play and a 4.6 out of five at Apple's App Store.

What appears to let Fishdom down is how they rate the difficulty of each level. Many reviewers complain that the very hard levels are being mislabelled as hard.

The other bugbear is the in-app purchases, which range from $0.99 to $15.99. Players resent the way the game sucks them in and then make it next to impossible to progress further without splashing the cash.
